LAS IT Web Technology provides support for the College of LAS in two general areas: Website Support and Application Development. Our work often intersects with LAS Marketing and Communications, mainly on publicly facing websites. We also collaborate on representation of the College when it comes to campus web committees and helping our departments follow UIC branding and marketing guidelines.

- WordPress Red Sites
(The WordPress Red environment is provided and supported by Technology Solutions.)- Provide LAS web guidelines and consulting on different types of sites: College, department, program, research, faculty profile
- Provide first-tier technical support on any LAS Red sites
- Represent the needs of LAS on the UIC Web Advisory Committee
- Provide thorough quality review and additional training before sites go live

- Represent the needs of LAS on the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Accessibility Policy Committee
- Represent the needs of LAS in the evaluation of Accessibility testing and monitoring tools for group licensing by the University of Illinois campuses.
- Other Consulting
- Support for LAS units who require other types of websites and/or databases (new or legacy projects)
- Evaluating which technology platforms available through UIC would be appropriate for a project.
- If no suitable platform is available, evaluating whether it is something which LAS IT can support
- Helping to evaluate a 3rd party option when no other is available
