As part of UIC’s Information Security Program, and to achieve compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, university employees are required to complete Annual Information Security Awareness Training.
What is happening?
On Tuesday, January 7th, you will be receiving a personalized email invitation with the following “From” and “Subject” lines:

The 2025 Information Security Awareness training campaign will be available beginning January 7th, and can be accessed after this date at go.uic.edu/securitytraining.
Why is this happening?
The purpose of this training is to raise awareness of the common information security threats and how users can protect our data and resources impacting teaching, learning, research, and patient care environments.
Annual Information Security Awareness Training is a requirement of our cyberbreach insurance, research grants, and federal and state laws and regulations.
What do I need to do?
We kindly request that you complete the Annual Information Security Training accessible from go.uic.edu/securitytraining within 30 days.
The course can be completed within approximately 45 minutes. Scheduled reminders will be sent to you, and regular completion status reports will be sent to your training manager until the training has been completed.
